31st October 2024 – 6:30 – 8 p.m. (GMT)
On the eve of Samhain – also known as Halloween – I invite you to a gentle and sacred space where we will explore ritual, poetry, meditation, and nourishing somatic practices as we honour the transition to winter.
Samhain holds a special place in the Celtic calendar. It is one of the four fire festivals of the ancient Celtic year and, perhaps, the most significant. Often overshadowed by the commercialized celebration of Halloween, Samhain is deeply spiritual and profoundly misunderstood. Regardless of your personal beliefs, this is an open invitation to join me for a peaceful, participatory workshop featuring a quiet and intimate Samhain ritual. Together, we’ll engage in poetry, meditation, and gentle somatic inquiry, and close the evening with a soothing singing bowl relaxation.
The event is by donation – you can offer as much or as little as you can afford, or nothing at all if you are skint. All are welcome. I aim to create a welcoming and inclusive space. I am disabilty and LGBTQ+ affirming.
What you’ll need to attend:
- Access to Zoom
- A warm, comfortable space
- Cozy clothes
- A notebook and pen for reflection
- Perhaps a warm drink
You can settle anywhere that feels comfortable—whether on the sofa, the floor, a chair, or even in bed.
I am an ordained interfaith minister and spiritual counsellor with many years of experience in leading ritual. In addition, I have over 20 years of teaching yoga and meditation. As a Celt, I feel deeply connected to these ancient rites and have long woven them into my spiritual practice.
